Adopt A Horse!
Here at Rising Son Youth Ranch our Horses are the therapists!
Spending time with horses is what riding therapy is all about.

Self-confidence, Unconditional love
Extra Benefits For Handicapped Therapy:
Balance, Circulation & Bowel Improvement
Building new muscles
So, since our horses are the lifeline of this ministry, we want to make sure we take very special care of them and we could use your help with that!
It costs us $200.00 per month to support each horse! (we have 8!) This includes feed, regular vet care, and farrier care. This does NOT include emergencies or extra care, such as for a sick or injured horse.
Could YOU help us?
If you agree to send us monthly support of $25, $50, $100, or $200 for 1 horse, we will send you a picture of the horse you have adopted and monthly updates and you will have our deepest gratitude!

available for adoption:
Cloud:
Cloud, is 13 years old. He's a wonderful Foxtrotter gelding who is very gentle and loves the children as much as they love him. Cloud has equine COPD, so he needs special supplements and meds to keep him usable and healthy.

Sampson: Ladd:
.
Sampson is a 16 year old Black Tennessee Walker who is a good challenge for our more advanced riders. He's still gentle and willing but has lots of energy and really likes to GO!! But being a Walker, he's gaited, so is a very smooth ride. Sampson is a real lover and just adores being made of, even nickering for more.
Ladd is a 27 year old Arabian/Quarterhorse mix bay gelding. He's a perfect gentleman and very willing. Ladd was donated by a friend of the ranch in mid season 2010. He is beloved by many of our students, and although on the older side, he still has lots of energy and spirit.

Lady: Glory:
Lady is a 22 year old Paint Mare, and was donated in the Spring of 2009. Lady has quickly become a favorite among the students, she's fun to ride and very versitile. If the student just wants to walk, Lady is perfectly content to do just that, but if they want to trot or canter, she's willing and gives a nice ride. We hope she will be with us for a long time to come.
Glory is 5 years old, born on the ranch, being trained to be a therapy horse. She's a blond palamino and loves people, if you go in the pasture, she will follow you around like a puppy dog. She's very curious and has to check everything out. She's calm and well behaved and very smart. As we train her, she's proving herself quick to learn and very willing. We hope she will be able to take students this season.
Please just drop us a line and mail it to us with your donation, or go to Paypal and donate from there.
Thank you so very much!
